Beistegui Hermanos (BH) is translated as Beistegui Brothers (BH). BH was founded in 1909 by Juan and Cosme Beistegui (and still owned by the Beistegui family today) as a firearms manufacturer in Eibar, Spain – the famed Basque Country of northern Spain. In 1923 BH turned its expertise to bicycles. It was a perfect fit for a company that had skilled metal forming experience. It was also a perfect fit for the sport of cycling, that in those days attracted hearty and rugged working-class mountain men – the Basque Country has plenty of mountains.
